MTA suspends some subway & bus service at request of police

The Maryland Transit Administration closed the Mondawmin Bus Loop and Metro Subway stations at the request of the Baltimore Police Department.

BALTIMORE (WUSA9) -- Wednesday the Maryland Transit Administration closed the Mondawmin Bus Loop and Metro Subway stations at the request of the Baltimore Police Department.

The bus stops on Liberty Heights Ave. and Reisterstown Rd. near the Mondawmin Bus Loop remained open.

Metro Subway was operating to Johns Hopkins Station but was bypassing the Penn-North and Upton Market stations.

Local Bus was operating with several diversions in the city.

Light Rail was operating as regularly scheduled as is MTA Mobility services, MARC Train and MTA Commuter Bus.
