1 man dead after shooting in Hyattsville; Police looking for shooter

Detectives are working to determine who the shooter is in the case and establish a motive for the crime.

HYATTSVILLE, Md. — A man is dead after a late night shooting in Hyattsville, sparking a homicide investigation by the police department.

Officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to 52nd Avenue, off of Kenilworth Avenue, just after 10 p.m. after a report of a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, they found a man outside suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, but he later died. No information has been released about the man, this includes his age, name, and where he is from.

No one is currently in custody for the crime. Detectives are working to determine who the shooter is in the case and establish a motive for the crime.
