VIDEO: Man reaches through closed Taco Bell/KFC drive-thru window to mess with open register with no cash

The robber broke into the Taco Bell/KFC around 5 a.m. by forcibly opening the drive-thru window.

SILVER SPRING, Md. — New video shows a man climbing through a drive-thru window in order to steal from a fast-food restaurant in Silver Spring last month.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the to-go burglary happened the day before Halloween at a Taco Bell/KFC in the 7700 block of Blair Road. 

Officers were called to the fast food restaurant shortly after 9 a.m. and learned the burglar broke into the Taco Bell/KFC around 5 a.m. by forcibly opening the drive-thru window. He then climbed halfway through the window and reached with his arms to grab merchandise before leaving the store. 

On Thursday, police released surveillance video of the suspect, who is described as a man in his 30s wearing a red jacket.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Tips may remain anonymous.
