Man critically injured after being shot in Prince George's County

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. -- A man is critically injured after being shot in Riverdale Heights early Monday morning, Prince George's County Police said.

Around 7:15 a.m., officers were called to the 5400 block of Caters Lane. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He has been identified as 36-year-old Oscar Rene-Espinal of 56th Avenue in Riverdale, police said.

Detectives said they are still gathering information on possible suspects. They are now offering a reward of up to $25,000 in connection with any information leading to an arrest, police said.
