Families can bring their kids to three branches between Dec. 3 and Jan. 7 to get a free coat while supplies last.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Three libraries in Prince George's County will be holding events this winter to help make sure children can stay warm with a free coat.

This is the fourth year the library system has taken part in Operation Warm: Free Coats for Kids. The initiative aims to give free brand-new coats to children in need as we move into the winter season.

Families can bring their kids to three branches between Dec. 3 and Jan. 7 to get a free coat while supplies last.

According to a release from Prince George's County Public Library system, the coats were sponsored by the PGCMLS Foundation, Wawa, and Operation Warm.

The Operation Warm events will be held at the following branches:

Branches will offer one coat per child, with a limit of two coats per family. Children must be present to receive the jacket, which will be available in sizes 2T-18.
