JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. (WUSA9) -- The incident at Joint Base Andrews has been resolved, the base announced.
The main gate at the base was placed on lockdown after a woman at the visitor's center claimed she had a bomb strapped to her chest.
Once she was apprehended, it was determined she did not have a bomb.
The base is asking all personnel and residents to avoid the area until further notice.
