FREE Celebration of Pride Events in DC this weekend

Parade, Concert, Festival, and more. The Capital Pride Alliance has planned a full weekend of FREE events.

The Capital Pride Alliance has planned a full weekend for the annual Celebration of Pride in the Nation's Capital. Here are times, locations and everything you need to know to join the celebration.

Saturday, June 9th:

Pride on the Pier

Kick off Pride 2018 with dancing and entertainment courtesy of DJ Rosie. Those 21 and older will be able to purchase alcoholic beverages. The event is located at Wharf DC (1100 Maine Ave. SW) and runs from 12PM-3PM.

Capital Pride Block Party

Enjoy food, beverages, and entertainment before, during, and after the Pride 2018 Parade. The Block Party is located on 15th St. between P St. and Church St. and goes from 4pm-10PM.

Capital Pride Parade

The 2018 Pride Parade route begins at 22nd & P St. NW and ends at 14th & R St. NW. The parade runs from 4:30PM-7:30PM and includes floats, vehicles, marchers, food, beverages, and entertainment.

Capital Trans Pride Pool Party

The 2nd annual Trans Pride Pool Party begins at 7:30PM and goes until 11PM at VIDA Fitness (1612 U St. NW). Be one of the first 100 attendees to receive a free drink ticket in addition to the food and entertainment that will be provided.

Sunday, June 10th:

Capital Pride Festival

Enjoy a full day of entertainment, music, food, drink, education, and celebration with over 300 exhibitors including local businesses, vendors, and organizations. The Festival is on Pennsylvania Ave from 7th to 3rd St. NW and runs from 12PM-9:30PM.

Capital Pride Concert

Close out Pride weekend with an all-day concert in front of the U.S. Capitol. The event will include performances from international headliners as well as local and regional LGBTQ+ talent. The concert kicks off at 12PM on Pennsylvania Ave & 3rd St. NW and goes until 10PM.
