One man is dead, another is injured after an overnight shooting in the Forestville area, Prince George's County police said. Authorities said this marks the 9th homicide in the county in the past seven days.
The fatally shooting happened around 2:40 a.m. in the 1500 block of Forest Park Drive
When officers got to the scene they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the other man involved was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities do not believe this shooting was random.
