WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Six passengers on board a Metrobus were injured Monday after the driver had to stop short and stomp on the breaks, a Metro spokesperson said.
According to the spokesperson, a car cut in front of a #32 bus near Alabama Avenue and Ainger Place SE, forcing the driver of the bus to stop short and hit the breaks.
The abrupt stop caused six passengers on the bus to bounce around and sustain injuries, the spokesperson said. All of those injuries are non-life threatening.
It is unknown if there was any contact between the bus and the car.
