WANTED: Police search for gunman who shot man and woman in NW DC

Monday night, MPD released photos of the wanted gunman captured by surveillance cameras.

WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help finding the person who shot a man and a woman in Northwest D.C. Monday afternoon.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3100 block of 14th Street, NW around 12:30 p.m. 

When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman who had been shot. Both victims were taken to an area hospital for help and are expected to survive. 

There is no word on any possible motive or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the shooting. 

Monday night, MPD released photos of the wanted gunman captured by surveillance cameras. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at (202) 727-9099 or text the department's tip line at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
