WASHINGTON -- One person was seriously injured after a building collapsed in Northwest, fire officials said.
The building partially collapsed on the second floor of a home in the 1300 block of 13th Street -- where the building was under renovation, according to DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
Fire officials removed one worker who was taken to the hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
First responders and a K-9 search dog entered the building to search for possible victims in the rubble, but there were no victims.
A building inspector indicated the home adjacent to the structural collapse was safe.
