WASHINGTON — Police are investigating after a man was stabbed and killed in Northeast D.C. Monday evening.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 300 block of 61st Street, Northeast at 7:15 p.m. for reports of an unresponsive person.
When first responders arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed. He was not conscious or breathing when help arrived, and eventually was pronounced dead.
The man has been identified as 33-year-old Devon Greenfield, of Northeast D.C.
No suspect descriptions have been released. Police have not said anything about possible motive or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the stabbing.
