Fire breaks out at restaurant in NW DC

Firefighters have since brought the flames under control. Five adults have been displaced as a result.

WASHINGTON — A fire that broke out at a restaurant in Northwest, D.C. Sunday is now under control. 

The fire reportedly broke out Sunday afternoon on the first floor kitchen of a restaurant located in the 1300 block of 14th Street, NW. 

The flames then continued to spread to the roof.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire.

The investigation into how the fire was started remains active and ongoing.

There is no word on what damages it has caused as of yet. 

Firefighters have since brought the flames under control. The fire has been extinguished. 

A total of five adults have been displaced. The Red Cross is helping those who lived above the restaurant and have no where to call home Sunday night.
