ARLINGTON, Va. — Are you missing a cat or bird?

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington posted pictures of two lost pets on their X page, formerly known as Twitter, in hopes of having the public's help finding their owners.

Anyone who recognizes either of the lost pets is asked to call 703-931-9241 or email mail@awla.org.

Shelter officials say the bird, a rare Saxon Fairy Swallow Pigeon, was found on February 8 in the 5000 block of 9th Street South. The pigeon is banded, but so far, officials have only been able to track this as far as a livestock auction in Pennsylvania.

On February 10, a female long-haired black and white cat was found in the 2000 block of Wilson Boulevard. There was no collar or microchip found.
