4 high school students under investigation for sharing naked photos on Snapchat

A search warrant shows four Fairfax County HS students admitted they had access to a Snapchat account distributing photographs of naked female students.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Four Fairfax County High School students are under investigation for child pornography for allegedly sharing pictures of fully naked female students on Snapchat.

In a search warrant seeking information from Snapchat, a police offer writes about interviewing a witness at Robinson Secondary School. That witness described another student’s Snapchat account which was posting pictures of fully naked juvenile females. The student was also seeking more naked pictures of girls from Lake Braddock Secondary School, Woodson High School, Robinson, West Springfield High School and South County High School.

It’s unclear if more pictures were sent or shared at any of those high schools. But the search warrant states there are four suspects who had access to the account that shared the pictures.

Fairfax County Police tell us there are multiple victims and there may be more that have not come forward yet.

Each of the four suspects apparently confessed to possessing and distributing the pictures. Sharing naked pictures of juveniles is considered child pornography which is a felony.

Police Officer Stephen Randazzo writes that “based on training experience and statements given by involves subjects,” he “observed child pornography on the phones and Snapchat accounts and each suspect admitted to their involvement in the possession, distribution and solicitation of child pornography.”

The Fairfax County Police department would not discuss the investigation since it is still ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.

Fairfax County Public Schools released a statement saying the “district is aware of the police investigation.  As it remains an active investigation, no additional comment at this time."
