WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- In today's Restaurant Alert, we're tracking a pre-theater spot near the Kennedy Center, a bakery and a Capitol Hill restaurant. All cited with rodent droppings.
Health inspectors temporarily closed: Dish and Drinks, 924 25th Street, NW DC; Cafe Recess, 209 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE DC; and, Firehook Bakery, 215 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE DC.
They all passed re-inspection and are back in business.

The Alert shows 3 violations including "rodent (fresh) droppings observed on the floor."
"The health and safety of our guests is our top priority," a Firehook Bakery Manager said. Management added during the closure it made "…corrections to improve the dining environment."

The Restaurant Alert shows a July 18th report citing Dish with 28 closure violations including "small flies were observed on surfaces and flying the bar area" and, "rodent feces observed on floors and food equipment in bar area, kitchen."
"All infractions were immediately corrected to the satisfaction of the health department and the restaurant reopened for service shortly thereafter," a Dish spokesman said.

The Restaurant Alert shows more fresh droppings at Café Recess Vietnamese restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue, SE DC.
Its July 25th report documents 5 violations at Café Recess including "several (fresh) rodent droppings observed on the floor in the basement." And "bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods."
