Health department releases list of food establishments closed twice or more in response to WUSA9 investigation.
DC restaurants closed twice or more for health code violations

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - DC's Department of Health has released a list of 21 food establishments closed twice or more since January 2011 for health department violations.

Officials released the list in response to a WUSA9 investigation into health department policies regarding repeat restaurant offenders.

In the WUSA9 investigation, DOH acknowledged it does not seek permanent closures of repeat offenders as a spokeswoman had previously claimed and announced enforcement changes in response to our inquiry.
