Greenbelt, Md. (WUSA9) - Armed guards at Beltway Plaza Mall prevented our camera crew from recording video of restaurants cited and closed for operating without running water, but a producer managed to take iPhone photos before being escorted out.
In Greenbelt, citing operating without running water during a water main break, health inspectors temporarily closed: Subway, Beltway Plaza Mall, 6000 Greenbelt Road; Three Brothers, Beltway Plaza Mall, 6000 Greenbelt Road; Kalpena Dip-N-Depot, Beltway Plaza Mall, 6000 Greenbelt Road; and Heaven Bakery, Beltway Plaza Mall, 6000 Greenbelt Road and Dominos Pizza, 8904 62nd Ave., Unit B, College Park.
All the restaurants passed re-inspection and are back in business.

Three armed guards escorted our producer from the mall refusing to allow her to request clearance from mall management or the restaurants cited and closed for health violations.
In August at Beltway Plaza Mall, inspectors ordered five other restaurants closed for operating without running water.
During the August incident, officials shut down Popeyes, Wings, Jersey Mikes, Baskin Robbins, and Boston Market, all for operating during a water main break.
At the Beltway Plaza Mall Subway, a manager told us he didn't believe operating during the water outage was a problem because workers wear gloves.
Health experts say contaminated hands can contaminate clean gloves and workers should wash hands every time they change tasks, especially after using the restroom.
A manager at Three Brothers said the restaurant was only partially open and serving pre-cooked food.
The attorney for Beltway Plaza Mall told us the restaurants didn't know there was a water main break.
He said restaurants are upset to be included in the WUSA9 Restaurant alert because closures are often associated with rats and roaches, but health experts put operating without running water in the same category of violations that put you at risk of getting sick.
