Here's who has tested positive, negative for coronavirus after president's diagnosis

There's a potentially large contagion tree, given the timeline of President Trump's busy week before he announced he had tested positive for COVID-19.

WASHINGTON — After a 72-hour stay at Walter Reed Medical Center for COVID treatment, President Donald Trump returned to the White House Monday.

The president tweeted on Oct. 2 that both he and the first lady had tested positive for COVID-19, following the news that senior aide Hope Hicks had also tested positive. Since those three positive results related to the president's inner circle, the contagion bubble has expanded to include multiple attendees of an event at the White House and members of Trump's debate prep team.

White House officials are working to contain the outbreak at the complex that has now infected more than a dozen other aides and associates.

D.C. also reported its largest spike in COVID-19 cases in four months on Tuesday, with 105 new positive cases in a single day.
