2 men charged with stabbing another man to death at Prince George's Co. business

A second man was also found stabbed and taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

TAKOMA PARK, Md. — Two men are facing charges after police connected them to a deadly stabbing at a Takoma Park business Wednesday night.

At the scene, WUSA9 crews captured detectives collecting evidence from inside El Paraiso, a Tex-Mex restaurant.

Officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to New Hampshire Avenue, by Sheridan Street, around 10:50 p.m. after a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police found a man suffering from stab wounds inside of a restaurant. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died. His identity has not been released.

A second stabbing victim was found in the area. He was hospitalized with critical injuries.

Shortly after the stabbing, police arrested 34-year-old Alexis Romero of Fairmount Heights and 27-year-old Edward Mejia-Sandoval of Silver Spring.

Investigators claim Romero and Mejia-Sandoval stabbed the two victims during a dispute. The victims did not know the men before the stabbing, according to police. Both have been charged with second-degree murder and remain in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
