Man shot and killed in Southeast identified

Man killed Friday afternoon in Southeast identified as 29-year-old Dimitrious Tre'Von Brown.

WASHINGTON — D.C. police is investigating a shooting that took place Friday afternoon. 

According to police, at 3:08 p.m. officers responded to the 2900 block of Gainesville Street, Southeast for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man unconscious and not breathing in the 2800 block of Hartford Street, Southeast. 

DC Fire and EMS were called to the scene, where they pronounced 29-year-old Dimitrious Tre'von Brown, dead at the scene. 

Police have not issued a lookout for a suspect at this time. 

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
