Police: Man shot, killed grandfather at Virginia home

Stafford County deputies received 911 call from 24-year-old Brandon Cohen, telling them he shot and killed his grandfather.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A Stafford County man is behind bars after police say he shot and killed his 78-year-old grandfather. 

Around 8:25 a.m. Sunday, Stafford County deputies received 911 call from 24-year-old Brandon Cohen, telling them he shot and killed his grandfather.

Authorities arrived to the home on Clearview Lane in Clearview Mobile Home Park, to find Thomas Edward Ennis Jr. unconscious and suffering from multiple gun shot wounds.

Ennis was pronounced dead on the scene.

Cohen was arrested at the home and is now being charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony. 

Deputies have not released a motive for the shooting. 

Cohen is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
