Police investigating pharmaceutical robbery in Temple Hills

Police are still searching for who is responsible.

TEMPLE HILLS, Md. — Police are investigating after an armed robbery of pharmaceuticals at a Temple Hills office building Wednesday afternoon. Investigators say someone was assaulted and an unknown amount of drugs were taken from the scene.

Prince George's County Police Department officers were called to the scene in the 3600 block of Branch Avenue just after noon on Wednesday for a report of an armed robbery. When officers arrived on scene, they learned a driver was making a pharmaceutical delivery when he was assaulted in his work vehicle.

Police say at least wo people took drugs out of the vehicle and left in a different vehicle. Police have not provided a description of that vehicle. Right now, there are no descriptions of the alleged robbers either.

According to the police department, no shots were fired and the driver walked away with only minor injuries.

The investigation is still in its early stages, and investigators continue to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses. Anyone who may have additional information about this case should call Prince George's County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
