WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Around a month after a sexual assault happened in Woodbridge, the police department has made an arrest in the case.
The Prince William County Police Department says on the evening of March 12, a reported sexual assault happened in the 15800 block of Richmond Highway. Through the investigation they determined that a 28-year-old woman was approached and inappropriately touched by an unknown man.
They then walked to a nearby business where the accused man, later identified as 38-year-old Robert Deal, of Manassas, sexually assaulted her a second time before separating.
While investigating, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Deal who was taken into custody by Manassas City Police on Saturday, April 13.
Police say Deal has been charged with sexual assault.
