Man arrested in shooting that left 3 injured in NE DC

Two men and a woman were taken to an area hospital for help after the shooting. All three survived.

WASHINGTON — Four years after a shooting that left three people injured in Northeast, D.C., police have made headway in the case.

On Thursday, investigators arrested and charged 30-year-old Earnest Dangelo Cleveland for his alleged involvement in the shooting. He is charged with assault with a intent to kill.

On October 10, 2020, at 8:32 p.m., officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the intersection of 19th Street and Rosedale Street, NE for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two men and a woman who had been shot. All three victims were taken to an area hospital for help, and all three survived.
