Police search for shooter that injured 2 men

DC Police are searching for a red four-door Honda seen driving away from the shooting on MLK Jr. Ave, SW.

WASHINGTON — Two men were shot Saturday afternoon in the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southwest. Police believe the shooter(s) drove away in a red Honda shown below.

DC Police responded to an apartment complex in the neighborhood after reports said 30 rounds of bullets had been fired nearby, injuring two men. Once on scene, they found two men who had been shot in the back, and both men were conscious and breathing. They were both taken to a hospital for further treatment. No other information has been released.

Several witnesses at the scene described hearing gunshots, but no one got a good look at the person(s) responsible for the shooting, so police do not have a suspect description at this time.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call DC Police at 202-727-9099, or text 50411.
