WASHINGTON — A man is in the hospital after he was stabbed in D.C.'s Chinatown neighborhood over the weekend. Police were able to take a man into custody for the stabbing on Sunday.
Metropolitan Police Department officers were flagged down just before 7:30 p.m. for the stabbing, near the intersection of H Street Northwest and 6th Street Northwest, a short distance from the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Officers found a man stabbed, and he was taken to a hospital for treatment of the wound. Police say the man's injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Investigators say a man was taken into custody near the scene of the stabbing a short time later. Police say 32-year-old Tanade Qarn Warsame of Northwest D.C. was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon.
