Thieves drive car into gas station, make off with ATM

Police are asking for the public's help to find the people responsible.

BOWIE, Md. — Police in Bowie, Maryland are searching for who used a car to bust into a gas station and steal an ATM from inside. Police say no one was inside the building at the time.

Prince George's County detectives are conducting an investigation after the burglary was first reported around 3:45 a.m. at the Shell gas station and convenience store at the 16500 block of Ballpark Road.

Preliminarily, detectives say burglars drove a vehicle into the Market Place building. Once inside, they grabbed an ATM from inside and left the scene. So far no arrests have been made in this case. Police have not said whether there is surveillance video from inside the store showing what happened.
