URBANA, Md. (WUSA9) -- A judge ordered the man accused of stabbing a couple at a Frederick County church on Sunday night to be held without bond.

The two victims, who were originally from Korea, were stabbed at Anna Prayer Mountain Church, a Korean prayer center. The man died. The woman remains in serious condition at the hospital.

Frederick County Sheriff's authorities say the suspect, 30-year-old Song Su Kim of Falls Church, stabbed the couple while a congregation was in place. A witness said that four people were at the evening service, that was supposed to start at 7:30 p.m.

Investigators are trying to determine if the argument started over dinner and might have have led the homeless man to stab the two cooks.

They were waiting on Kim to finish eating his dinner. Kim entered the sanctuary with his hands behind his back, reported the witness, and one of the victims asked him to sit down. The witness told police that's when he pulled out a knife and started stabbing the man and his wife.

The witness then fled to the kitchen to call 911, according to charging documents. Once the witness returned to the sanctuary, she told police Kim was gone.

Police say Kim also called 911. "I just stabbed two people. I did it myself," he told the operator, according to the charging document. Kim also allegedly said he would wait for police.

When officers arrived on the scene, he was there. They took him taken into custody without force or incidence, the sheriff said in a press conference Sunday evening.

Charging documents also showed the officers saw bloody footprints when they entered the sanctuary.

Kim He was charged with murder, attempted murder and assault. Earlier, authorities said the suspect was 30-year-old man of Asian decent from northern Virginia, who was allegedly living in the church for about a week.

Police are still searching for the weapon used in the stabbing.

WUSA9's Bruce Leshan reports that Kim also called 911 Saturday complaining about "bad food" at the prayer center. The two victims in the stabbing were volunteer cooks.
