WASHINGTON — D.C. is the most pet obsessed place in the country, according to a new study from AT&T.
Residents in the District tweet about their pets three 3X more per capita than Hawaiians. Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, and Nevada follow behind D.C. with tweeting out their pets.
The worst pet-tweeting states are South Dakota, Idaho, Delaware, Mississippi, and New Mexico (do better, don't you want to the world to see your furry friends!).
According to the study, 85 million families own pets, about 94 million cats and 90 million dogs.
In 2017, the survey says families dropped $69.4 billion on the pet industry.
