In the mood for something warm and delicious? This easy crab dip recipe inspired by the Greene Turtle is a perfect dip or appetizer for those holiday parties! Make sure to serve with some hunks of bread or pretzel rolls!

Crab dip

3 lbs. cream cheese

1 cup mayonaise

1 tbsp. Greene Turtle Kinda Hot Sauce

1 ½ tbsp. Old Bay seasoning

2 tsp. garlic powder

2 lbs. Your favorite crabmeat (we suggest lump and claw), cleaned

1 lb shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Over low heat combine the cream cheese, mayonaise, and spices in a large pot. Stir frequently until the cream cheese has melted and all the ingredients are blended. Fold in the crabmeat until evenly distributed. Pour mixture into a baking pan and spread evenly.

Bake in a 425-degree oven for approximately 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle the mozarella cheese over the top. Add a little more Old Bay seasoning for color. Return to the oven until the cheese has thoroughly melted, approximately 3 minutes.

Note: During the preparation process, it is very important to pick through the crabmeat thoroughly, making sure to remove all shell particles and foreign debris, while taking extreme caution to not tear the larger pieces of crabmeat in order to maintain the "lumpy" texture of the product.
