Chicken-and-waffle-flavored potato chips? Yes please!
Last year the scrumptious-sounding snacks were available for a limited time, thanks to the popular "Do Us A Flavor" contest from Lay's. The brand offered a whopping $1 million to one person who could come up with a winning chip flavor, and three finalists — Cheesy Garlic Bread, Sriracha and Chicken and Waffles — actually popped up in stores.
This week Lay's brings the contest back for seconds, promising another $1 million to a lucky flavor creator. If you have a tasty idea, submit it through Twitter, YouTube,Facebook or dousaflavor.com.
A bunch of flavor ideas are pouring into the site, with some sounding more edible than others. Thanks, but I'll pass on "Bean and Weenie Casserole" and "Deviled Egg Chipotle," though I might actually try "Seaweed Kimchi," just out of curiosity.
The deadline to enter is April 5. Four finalists will be unveiled this summer; three of them will win $50,000, with the big one getting a million or 1% of the flavor's net sales, whatever's higher. Good luck!
