There are several ways to cook this delicacy from the ocean. Seafood expert Devery Bethea of Red Lobster shares a few tips to prepare the perfect lobster.

Lobster is a favorite for many seafood lovers but some are surprised that the ocean delicacy can be prepared several different ways. So try to experiment with a new way to prepare lobster with these tips from Devery Bethea of Red Lobster.

  • Grilled Maine lobster tail is one of the most popular preparations at Red Lobster. It gives nice grill marks and also caramelizes and allows for the sweetness and tenderness to take over.
  • Roasted Rock tail tends to be more firm and savory. It goes through the oven and then touched with a nice garlic butter sauce.
  • Steamed Maine tail is cooked in warm water. The water is boiled and the tail interior is cooked to 170 degrees in lobster and crab pots to provide perfect texture.

  • Another technique for steaming your lobster is lobster in parchment. Take some wild rice, green onions, and diced tomatoes and put in the parchment paper. Then place the lobster tail on top, add seafood seasoning, butter with garlic and chives then wrap the paper and place in the oven. Then cook for 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees. The flavor will soak into the rice to provide a burst of flavor!
