Here's the outdoor movies being shown across the DMV

Grab your popcorn and your friends for an outdoor movie in DC, Maryland or Virginia.

WASHINGTON — As temperatures start to rise so does the amount of outdoor offerings in the DMV. Simple pleasures, like watching a movie, are enhanced by the fresh air, mingling with neighbors, and picnics with friends that come with these activities.

Across the DMV, listings have started to be released for outdoor movie offerings. Here's a list of different options, across multiple locations, that will start showing movies, in some cases, as early as May:

Union Market

The tickets cost $20 per car. Tickets are not required to watch on Neal Place. Click here for ticket information.

Adams Morgan Movie Nights

The movies are free and will take place at the Marie Reed Elementary School Soccer Field located at 18th Street Northwest and California Street Northwest. The movies will kick off just after sunset around 9 p.m.

  • Tuesday, May 21: "Bring It On" [People’s Choice Movie]
  • Tuesday, May 28: "I, Tonya"
  • Tuesday, June 4: "Bend It Like Beckham"
  • Tuesday, June 11: "Battle of the Sexes" [Pride Night]
  • Tuesday, June 18: "Race" [Juneteenth]
  • Tuesday, June 25: "Space Jam" [Family Night]

NoMA's CiNoMatic

The movies are free at Alethia Tanner Park and will take place on Wednesdays at sunset.

  • May 8: "National Treasure"
  • May 15: "The Lost City"
  • May 22: "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"
  • May 29: "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull"
  • June 5: "The Goonies" (Season finale special with musical rescore by Shaolin Jazz)

Van Ness Movie Night in the Park

Congressional Cinena-tery Summer of Spirits series

Reservations are required to attend. The recommended donation is $10 per person. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. with the movie beginning around sunset.

  • May 31: "Beetlejuice" (June 14 rain date)
  • July 5: "The Sixth Sense" (July 12 rain date)
  • Aug. 2: "The Haunted Mansion" (Aug. 9 rain date)
  • Sept. 6: "Casper" (Sept. 13 rain date)

The REACH at the Kennedy Center

Screenings in the Justice Forum at the REACH are free and advance reservations open on a rolling basis every Wednesday two weeks before the event.

Rosslyn Cinema

Gateway Park's lawn and bar will open at 6 p.m. and movies will begin just after sundown or around 8:45 p.m. Admission is free and registration is encouraged, but not required.
