Chick Hernandez | Sports Anchor

WASHINGTON — Chick is one of the region’s most recognizable and respected sports voices for over a quarter century as a host, anchor, and reporter.
He has spent the last two years calling college football and basketball for CBS Sports Network. 

He was the longtime host of the Emmy Award-winning Washington Kickoff and Postgame Live game-day shows. An original member of NBC Sports Washington, Hernandez’s expertise and ties to the community have made him an indelible part of the region’s sports landscape and earned him numerous honors including multiple Emmy Awards. Prior to joining NBCSW, Hernandez spent seven years with Washington’s WTTG-TV (FOX) as a sports anchor/reporter. 

A native of Silver Spring, he attended the University of Maryland.
For the last 9 years Chick has hosted his annual golf tournament benefitting Men Supporting Women with Cancer.  Chick is married with three children.
