5 Small Business Saturday events in the DMV

There are many ways to support local businesses this holiday season.

WASHINGTON — It's that time of year again — Small Business Saturday is back on Nov. 25. Whether you are looking for a gift for a family member, a friend, your significant other or yourself, these events will have you set for the holiday season. 

D.C.

Black Market Creatives Showcase: This event will showcase products and services created by local Black entrepreneurs. Founded in 2016, the showcase took a break during the pandemic, but is returning this year and will be held at the Anacostia Arts Center. 

Steadfast Supply: The gift shop in Navy Yard will feature unique gifts crafted by several local business owners. 

Virginia 

Fairfax City Small Business Saturday: Begin your day at Old Town Hall where you can get a sweet treat and coffee or cocoa. Then grab a list of participating small businesses in Fairfax. And after shopping, submit a receipt to get entered in a raffle.  

Alexandria's Small Business Saturday: Nearly 50 shops in Old Town Alexandria will be offering deals and special offerings. Store hours vary from about 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Maryland

Maryland Women's Business Center: Support local women-owned businesses at Shop Local in Rockville. In addition to deals and specials, there's face painting for kids.
