CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (WUSA) — Maryland Natural Resources Police say two people are dead after a boating accident.
Officials tweeted Sunday afternoon that they were searching for two people missing on the Potomac River near the Mattawoman Creek. One body was recovered within two hours.
Officials tweeted our two hours later another body was recovered.
It's unknown what caused the boat to overturn. Officials have not released the identity of the victims.
