Numerous weapons, including semi-automatic rifles, handguns, and ammunition, were found in the home of the one of the students.

Two Leonardtown High School students were arrested for making threats towards the high school. Numerous weapons, including semi-automatic rifles, handguns, and ammunition, were found in the home of the one of the students.

According to St. Mary’s County police, a report was made on February 16 about the two male students, ages 15 and 16, after someone overheard them discussing a recent school shooting. The students talked about bringing firearms to school and said they were too smart to be caught.

During the investigation, police found that one of the students have access to firearms in their home and had made concerning statements on social media. The weapons were seized from the student’s home as they were not secured properly according to the law.
