Tunnel exhaust fans have been turned on to help with smoke removal.

CAPITAL HEIGHTS, MD -- All Metro trains were shut down briefly at the Capital Heights Metro Station due to a fire in a utility room, according to Prince George's County fire officials.

Officials say the fire has been put out, but was visible from one of the rooms. No injuries were reported.

Tunnel exhaust fans were turned on to help with smoke removal. Officials say the fire involved some large electrical panels.

Metro says Tuesday morning's service will not be impacted.
