Man's body pulled from Tidal Basin on Saturday amid Cherry Blossom Festival

It's unclear how the man ended up in the water and how long he was there.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) — A man's body was pulled from the Tidal Basin, near the paddle boat house, on Saturday, DC police confirmed.

DC Fire and EMS received the call around 2:10 p.m. for a person in the tidal basin and recovered the body of an adult man. It's unclear how the man ended up in the water and how long he was there.

A death investigation is underway.
