ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Police are investigating after finding a woman dead inside a car at a busy gas station in Alexandria on Monday.

Officers responded to the 4300 block of King Street Monday morning for a report of someone dead inside a car. Police warned the public of an increased presence in the area while they investigated.

Currently, police say this is still a death investigation and there is no cause for public concern. A medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

Anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency line at 703-746-4444.

Sources say the Liberty gas station at this location is very busy, and popular among rideshare drivers for easy fill-ups right off of Interstate 395.

Anyone with information may contact the Alexandria Police Department's non-emergency line at (703) 746-4444.
