Homicide detectives from Fairfax County police are on the scene in the 2900 block of East Lee Avenue in the Alexandria area after a construction crew discovered suspected adult skeletal remains.
Police said the workers were in the process of cleaning up a wooded area round 10:15 a.m., today when they first came across a wallet, and then found the remains.
Police reported the identification in the wallet listed the address of a shelter.
