A bystander was killed after a crash on Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Prince George's County, Md.
Police say a woman was parked on the side of the road when another car hit her car. She died at the scene, police said.
The crash happened near the exit for the Beltway.
Police say the driver of the other car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Prince George's County fire officials responded to the crash on the northbound lanes of MD-295 between Riverdale Road and Interstate-95 South late Monday night.
One person was extricated and pronounced dead at the scene while another was flown to a trauma center.
BW Parkway was closed between Riverdale Road and I-495 due to the investigation.
