FORECAST: Up near 90 Thursday; Dulles could set their third record high this week on Thursday

Still warm Friday before a big cool down with increasing rain risk over the weekend.

WASHINGTON — Hot but not humid Thursday; some record highs could fall.

Quick Forecast:
Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot, but not humid. High: 89.
Friday: Not as hot with some p.m. clouds. High: 80.

Thursday will be beautiful but heating up a bit with highs in the mid to to near 90 again. Mild and pleasant Thursday night. Friday stays warm with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. We'll see some p.m. clouds Friday but we stay dry in the Metro until Saturday morning.

Cloudy and cool over the weekend with periods of light rain, showers and even some drizzle. Weekend baseball and soccer will more than likely still be played. It will still be ok to attend the Landon Azalea Festival just bring an umbrella and a light jacket. Highs will be noticeably cooler, in the 60s. Saturday night and Sunday morning looks like the wettest period of the weekend with moderate showers possible at times with an isolated storm possible.  Highs will be near 70 Sunday.

Saturday: Cloudy and much cooler with light rain and drizzle. Highs: 60 - 65.
Sunday: Cloudy with occasional rain, and perhaps a rumble of thunder. Highs: 65 - 70.
Monday: Partly cloudy and warmer, p.m. storm possible. Highs: 77 - 82.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered p.m. storms. Highs: 80 - 85.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy and hot, stray p.m. shower. Highs: 86 - 91.
