WASHINGTON (AP) -- A DC judge says she won't reconsider her ruling backing a family owned dry cleaner in the case of the $54 million pants.

The plaintiff, Roy Pearson, argued last week that DC Superior Court Judge Judith Bartnoff failed to address his legal claims when she ruled that the owners of Custom Cleaners didn't violate the city's consumer protection law by failing to live up to his expectations of a "Satisfaction Guaranteed" sign. But Bartnoff says Pearson did nothing more than reargue his case. Pearson can still take the matter to the DC Court of Appeals. He didn't immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment. Pearson originally sought $67 million after he claims the cleaner lost a pair of pants he brought in for alterations and later returned a pair that he says weren't his. He later dropped the claims related to the pants and reduced his demand.
