Sara is the weekend sports anchor and also serves as the station's Redskins reporter. In the fall she hosts Operation Football on Friday nights, and when the Redskins aren't playing, hosts Sports Plus on Sunday nights. During football season, you can also find her blogging away at Skins Uncensored, which can be found on wusa9.com.
Since coming to WUSA in July of 2006, Sara has also hosted various programs for the Redskins, such as "Redskins Generation" and "Redskins Health and Wellness."
Sara comes to DC after an award-winning stint at WKRN in Nashville where she won four Emmys in three years. While there, she also hosted a weekly radio show with Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and co-hosted The Jeff Fisher Show, featuring the Titans head coach.
Before going to Nashville, Sara was the sports director at WPGA in Macon, Georgia for two years. Prior to her television work, Sara spent one year working as a sports/feature reporter for the Beaches Leader Newspaper in Jacksonville, Florida.
Sara grew up a three-sport athlete in Tampa, Florida and was a four-year starter on the University of North Florida soccer team. In her spare time Sara enjoys working out, running, reading and doing all the above anywhere near palm trees.
