CULPEPER, Va. (AP) - A trial is scheduled next spring for a woman accused of trying to purge her son's negative personnel record when she was an employee of the Culpeper Police Department.
Fifty-five-year-old Bethany Ann Parr of Orange is charged with forgery.
The Culpeper Star-Exponent says her trial is set to begin April 16, 2013.
The alleged record alterations were discovered during a special grand jury investigation of a fatal shooting involving Parr's son, former Culpeper police officer Daniel Harmon-Wright.
Harmon-Wright was fired after he was indicted in June on murder and gun charges. Police say he shot and killed 54-year-old Patricia Cook after responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot.
