DC camp focusing on social injustice lessons following U Street taser incident
Camp counselors were meeting Saturday to figure out how to talk to their teens about growing tensions with police. Hours later two of their own came face to face with trouble. Now they're using this real life trauma to empower the teens to learn their rights and the tools to de-escalate any future confrontations.
