Black men's health initiative aims to end disparities in DC #ForTheCulture

Black men are dying prematurely to preventable health diseases at alarming rates. "Black men are six times more likely to die from diabetes complications than their white male counterparts, three times more likely to die from prostate cancer," Joshua Ross said, referencing a study from Georgetown University. Ross is the development director for the National African-American Male Wellness Walk Initiative. He said the numbers are sobering.
