Bullis High School Track team makes West Coast debut in a big way

The Bullis girls track team is on fire!

WASHINGTON (WUSA) — The Bullis girls track team is on fire!

Saturday afternoon, the Bullis High School girls relay team made their debut at the Arcadia Invitational, which is one of the highs profile meets in California and sponsored by Nike.

The meet was their first race of the outdoor season and they held nothing back.

They relay team won the 4x200m relay in 1:36.18, the 3rd fastest time in the United States so far!

Okay ladies!

The team included Ashley Seymour, Leah Phillips, Lauryn Harris, and Masai Russell.

The Bullis girls are also coming off a very successful indoor season where they set not one, but two National High School Records in the 4x200 and the Shuttle Hurdle Relay.

This team also has the second fastest time by a high school girls team for the 4x400 relay run.

The girls relay team is coached by Joe Lee who has received some awards of his own.

He received National Coach of the Year at New Balance Indoor Nationals, and was named All-Met Coach of the Year.
